I want the bed frame for a king size bed, so I think the frame should be two pieces, 76″ wide and 80″ long total, so each piece would be 38″ wide. I think this is the standard thing to do. I want the top to be solid or slatted so that no box spring is required. 16″ tall, with Drawers that pull out from the footend that are 24″ deep and as wide and tall, as fits with the framing, I want the drawers big if they can be. I think the drawer could b 32″ wide. On the side by the end closest to the foot, I want another drawer 24″ wide but like 32″ deep ( its OK to just use a 24″ slide, and have the drawer, not open all the way out) I want the full extension slides for all 4 drawers. Then on the head end, I want doors that open down or slide and the space behind it enclosed so that we can put bulky items in there.
